Slow Food Darwin and Top End are pleased to invite you to a Masterclass with the wonderful team from Saffron.
Join Slow Food Darwin and Chef Selvam of Saffron as he designs a healthy, flavoursome authentic Southern Indian, Northern Indian and Tandorri Menu. Saffron is the first restraurant in Australia to use zero-waste technology, biodegradable disposable tableware made from bamboo and sugarcane.
Selvam and you will source ingredients locally wherever possible including a tour of the the markets at Parap for fresh, seasonal produce.
We then head to the kitchen to prepare the menu for lunch at this multi award winning and sustainably certified resturant for lunch.
When: Saturday 29th October 2011
Market Tour and Class From 8:00 am to 12:00pm. Lunch from 12:30. The planned menu can be viewed here- Menu .
Cost: Members $85 Non Members $95. Includes lunch and chilled water- other beverages available for purchase.
Please advise if you have any special dietary requirements.
Please note closed non-slip shoes must be worn for the cooking class.
